You can't have your full voice without being your full self

Updated: Oct 3

Until I was 23, my voice was pretty but one-dimensional.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

My voice reflected where I was at psychologically ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

I didn’t think I was powerful - I couldn’t belt⁣⁣⁣

I didn’t express myself - I had vocal tension⁣⁣⁣

I didn’t trust my instincts- I couldn’t improvise⁣⁣⁣

I couldn’t access my feelings - I couldn’t move audiences to tears⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

In order to get those results, I needed to work on my self-expression.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

I needed to become the person I was always meant to be⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

Confident, comfortable, authentic.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

Only then was I able to sing:⁣⁣⁣

In whatever style⁣⁣⁣

As loud as I wanted⁣⁣⁣

Emotionally⁣⁣⁣

Freely & spontaneously⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

While having fun and not freaking out!⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

I know that this is possible for you.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

Confidence is a natural result of becoming who you are.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

If you take the step to get to know your real self- I promise you will love the person you meet.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

And you can become the singer you were always meant to be.⁣⁣
